August Students of the Month announced
Ballard County Elementary School has announced its Students of the Month for August. Students are selected by their teachers as good examples of the positive attitude, behavior and effort that is expected of everyone at BCES. BCES rewarding Distinguished behavior
This year, Ballard County Elementary School is putting a renewed focus on rewarding positive behavior. Assistant Principal Angie Woods said, “We will continue to showcase our students and recognize them in many ways. On Aug. 29, we had our first “Student of the Month” assembly. Students who are chosen for that honor already have gone out of their way to exhibit our school expectations of being ‘Responsible, Respectful and Ready.’” 
Ballard County Middle School hosts volleyball camps
Twenty-seven girls registered for volleyball camps held at Ballard County Middle School in July. In the first photo are girls from fourth to sixth grade; the second photo is girls in seventh and eighth grade.  
BCES works with WKEC to improve math instruction
Ballard County Elementary School has been working with West Kentucky Educational Cooperative Math Consultant Jennifer Van Waes (standing) to improve math instruction in all grades.  
School now in session! Drivers reminded of pick-up, drop-off points on main campus
The first day of classes for Ballard County Schools was Thursday, Aug. 7. It’s back to school for student drivers, parents and bus drivers alike. Please click the link below for a quick reminder of traffic patterns and pick-up/drop-off points for everyone on the main campus.  
Parents asked to review immunization requirements
If you have a child entering preschool, kindergarten, sixth grade, or transferring to Ballard County Schools for the 2014-15 school year, the following health requirements must be met to comply with Kentucky’s state regulations and will be strictly enforced.  
School marks 20th anniversary
Ballard County Elementary School marked its 20th anniversary on June 4 with a luncheon for current and former employees.
