To improve student safety and parent experience, the pick-up and drop-off procedures at Ballard County Preschool - Head Start are changing this year when BCPS opens on Aug. 27.

All regular-day drop-offs will take place behind the preschool, as well as the morning and noontime pick-ups. The ONLY pick-up that still will be in front of the building is the 3:30 p.m. pick-up. Please read the rest of this story very carefully, and contact us at 270-665-8400, ext. 2100, if you have any questions. We want this transition to be as smooth and easy as possible for our students and parents.

BCPS holds Sports Night parent meeting and activity

Ballard County Preschool and Head Start recently held a Parent Meeting and Activity at the school at 455 Olive St. in LaCenter. The event and meal were sponsored by Justin Puckett and Kentucky Farm Bureau in LaCenter, and two bicycles were given away as door prizes. After the meal, families participated in Sports Night with organizer Stacy Puckett. Children were encouraged to participate in 10 separate activities: bowling, basketball, soccer, bike ride, kickball maize, ball pit, cornhole, football, hula hoop and ring toss. After each activity was completed, they were given a sticker to cover that activity on their Sports Night Bingo Board. Completing all 10 activities meant they were entered to win one of the bikes. Bike winners were Brantley Kelley and McKinsey Cooper.
