BCES wins district 'Attendance Olympics'

A brief ceremony was held recently to celebrate the Ballard County school with the highest average attendance for the second quarter of 2012-13. Each school was represented by staff and students drawn from its group of perfect attendees. Shown from left are representatives from bronze medalist Ballard Memorial High School, administrator Renee McDermott, teacher Kevin Abanatha and student Michael Fondaw; from gold medalist Ballard County Elementary School, principal Phillip Harned, student Lily Carneal, classified employee Ramona Feezor and teacher Ginger Higgins; and silver medalist Ballard County Middle School, student Noah Sullivan and counselor Kim Grogan.
