Ballard County Schools students who do not have adequate internet service at home may use any of these wi-fi hotspots in the community. Please remember that if you’re in a church or business parking lot to be courteous to other patrons or customers, and not to leave litter in the area.
Barlow:
The Barlow Library has a node in their parking lot at 139 N. Fourth St. The service also is available inside the library, Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The library has 7-8 desktop computers for patron use there, as well.
Blandville:
Blandville Baptist Church has a node in their parking lot at 5576 Bethlehem Church Road, Wickliffe. It is set up as a guest account, and no password is necessary.

LaCenter:

There is a wi-fi node at the west end of the Board of Education Office on our campus, at 3465 Paducah Road.
Wickliffe:
The Ballard-Carlisle County Library has a hotspot that is accessible outside the building at 410 Ohio St. 24 hours a day. The service will show up as “Netgear 65” on wi-fi, and the password is posted on the door. The outside service is available every day, but the library itself is only open on Fridays from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Wickliffe First Baptist Church, 411 Tennessee St., has wi-fi in the parking lot near the gym/family life center. The service will show up as “Belkin,” and the password is ae279697.
Additional hotspots are in the works in Wickliffe, Barlow, on campus, LaCenter, Kevil, and Lovelaceville. We will share them with you as they become available.
Families interested in obtaining their own service can contact Ballard Telephone Co-op at 270-665-5186, or visit them on the web at www.btcservices.org/internet/.
Any church or business that would be willing to share their wi-fi with our students is asked to please call Julie Thomas at 270-665-8400, or email her at julie.thomas@ballard.kyschools.us.
