Students from Ballad Memorial High School were among more than 9,000 students, educators and parents who attended the 10th annual Student Technology Leadership Program state championships, held April 12 at the Lexington Convention Center. The BMHS News team took first place in multimedia content, a competition division in which students use tools to create original learning by combining at least three of the following: animation, audio, design software, images, interactive devices, text, and video. More than 550 projects using technology in arts, STEM fields and career-ready skills were on display, from 502 schools in 129 districts.
