Artwork by BMHS students chosen as logo for Western Kentucky Alliance for a Vibrant Economy coalition

Three Ballard Memorial High School students were among 26 from Ballard, Carlisle, Fulton and Hickman counties who submitted artwork for a logo contest. The hand-drawn logo by BMHS was chosen to represent the new four-county Western Kentucky Alliance for a Vibrant Economy (WAVE), and was unveiled at the group’s first major conference, held in October at Columbus-Belmont State Park in Hickman County. Shown from left are BMHS sophomore A.J. Ross, Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, and BMHS juniors Grant Dunning and Connor Brooking. The three are students in visual arts II and III classes taught by Jenny Bittner. The final artwork, show here, was displayed on a banner as the backdrop for the many state and national speakers at the meeting, and will be used going forward on promotional materials associated with the WAVE organization.
