Each month at Ballard County Middle School, six students (two from each grade) will be selected and named Leaders of the Month. Students are nominated by teachers for outstanding behavior or performance. Shown from left are BCMS Leaders of the Month for September: sixth-graders Evan Rehkemper and Molly Harris, seventh-graders Dustin Howle and Gabrielle Rodriguez, and eighth-graders Grace Horn and Hunter Buchanan. Selectors said Rehkemper is intelligent, actively participates in all activities in the classroom, and always puts first things first; Harris is very dependable about doing her work, making good grades, and helping out in the classroom. Howle exhibits Bomber Pride all day, every day, puts first things first with attention and quality work, and is a positive person; Rodriguez helps organize for other students and directs classroom routines, and has even dedicated her own time to complete a classroom project. Buchanan is always in a good mood and helpful to his classmates, participates in class discussions, and always turns in his homework; Horn is sweet and kind to others, always turns in her homework on time, and has something positive to say.
