The new GED test will begin in January 2014, so the Ballard County Adult Learning Center is encouraging all people who have begun but not finished the process to get in before the deadline.
“This is a very important year for those who need to get their GEDs,” said ALC Director Marlene Fraser. “The new test will go into effect on Jan. 1, 2014, and the price will double. The new test will be completely computerized and will be a more difficult test in order to prepare folks for college entrance.”
The ALC is located in the Ballard County Community Resource Center at 158 E. Third St., LaCenter. Service hours are Monday and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Anyone needing a GED is urged to contact the ALC as soon as possible.
