County Schools was one of only about two dozen district in the state that
successfully met the guidelines to apply for a state grant funding another Family
Resources Center director. The current director, Kelly Wray, will stay on at
Ballard County Elementary School. The new person will start on Jan. 1, 2019,
and will serve Ballard County Middle and Ballard Memorial High schools.
“The state saw we had a need,” said Bob Wilson, Ballard’s director of pupil personnel. “Kelly has done a great job for all of our almost 1,300 students for a number of years. This will roughly split the number of students in half, with about 600 in the middle and high schools, and about the same number in the elementary.”
County was the only other Purchase Area district to receive a similar grant, he
