District food delivery procedure changing
Ballard County Schools will remain on all-virtual instruction through Nov. 13. The district will provide five days of breakfast and lunch meals for each child, to be delivered to his/her primary household mailing address as it appears in the Infinite Campus student information system. However, there will be changes from the district’s previous meal delivery procedures:
  • Deliveries to three different areas of the county will be made by the transportation department on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday as follows:
Tuesday – Mailing addresses in Kevil (42056) and Lovelaceville (42060). This includes families in the Bandana area.
Wednesday – Mailing addresses in LaCenter (42056) and Barlow (42024).
Friday – Mailing addresses in Wickliffe (42087). This includes families in the Blandville area.
Families will be notified via text, email or phone on Monday, Nov. 9, about their delivery day, using information in the district’s Infinite Campus student information system.
  • All food deliveries will be made to the FRONT DOOR of the residence, and MUST BE RECEIVED IN PERSON either by a student or approved adult (appearing on the student’s enrollment information). Only one no-show at the door is allowed. Contact will be attempted, but if that is not successful, the family will be removed from the delivery list.
  • Because the deliveries are made only once a week, and by mailing address, there will be NO LAST-MINUTE CHANGES to the delivery address. Students or approved adults are welcome to pick up meals at the school, but must contact their school’s cafeteria manager ahead of time to make arrangements.
Students at Ballard County Preschool and Ballard County Elementary School should contact Lori Williams at [email protected] or 270-665-8400, ext. 2208.
Students at Ballard County Middle and Ballard Memorial High schools should contact Lee Ann Harvey at [email protected] or 270-665-8400, ext. 2536.
IMPORTANT: If your family would like to opt out of receiving meals, please complete the form at this link no later than today (Friday, Nov. 6) at 6 p.m.
