Boys', girls' basketball teams to play in holiday tournaments, beginning Friday

Here’s a little round-up of tournament action over the holiday break for our boys’ and girls’ basketball teams, with action beginning on Friday:

- Boys will travel first to the St. Mary Christmas Classic in Paducah. They face Livingston Central on Friday, Dec. 17, at 6 p.m. The winner will play the winner of the Fulton County-Caldwell County game on Dec. 19 at 8 p.m. Losers of both games will play each other on Dec. 19 at 4 p.m.

- Girls will travel to the Community Christian Academy tournament in Paducah. They will play Christian Fellowship School on Friday, Dec. 17, at 12:30 p.m. The winner of that game will play the winner of two previous games: CCA vs. Joppa, Ill., and that winner vs. Carlisle County, on Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. The loser will play the loser of the CCA-Joppa game on Dec. 17 at 6:30 p.m.

- Boys also will travel to the Duster Thomas Hoops Classic in Pickneyville, Ill., after Christmas. First game will be against Steeleville on Dec. 27 at 5:30 p.m. The winner of that game will play the winner of the Pickneyville-Salem game on Dec. 28 at 9 a.m. Loser will play the loser of that game at the same date and time in the auxiliary gym.
