Ballard County Schools names Christina Stoner student information systems administrator
Christina Stoner has been named the new student information systems administrator at Ballard County Schools. She will begin her new duties on May 26, primarily in charge of daily operations for Infinite Campus and its KDE reporting, but will provide additional support to district applications like ParentSquare as part of the Technology Department.
“Christina is going to be a great fit for this role,” said District Technology Coordinator Mason Purcell. “With her background as an educator, she understands the day-to-day needs of the classroom and the importance of providing effective support for administrators, teachers, students, and families.”
Stoner began her teaching career three years ago in Kindergarten at Ballard County Elementary School, and has been the fourth grade math teacher for the last two years. She restarted the Beta Club there three years ago, for the first time in 20 years. Club members now are competitive on the national level. She’s also worked on the school’s 21st Century Learning Center program for three years, headed the school’s Turkey Trot fundraiser for two years (raising over $30,000 for student programs), and served on the school’s Leader in Me staff Lighthouse Team.
“I loved teaching, but I took this new job because of my deep-rooted passion for technology,” Stoner said. “Infinite Campus has a direct impact on every student, family, and nearly every internal department. Ballard County is home to me, and it’s an honor to serve these students and this school district through those technological impacts every single day. I hope to continue to serve the technology needs of our district for many years to come.”
She holds a bachelor’s degree in K-5 education from the University of Tennesse at Martin, a graduate certificate in distance learning design from the University of Kentucky, and is working on her master’s degree in learning design and technology from UK, with an expected spring 2027 graduation. Stoner also is a Google Certified Educator.
“Ballard County Schools is excited to add Christina Stoner to our Technology Department, to learn and lead our student information system, Infinite Campus,” said Dr. Casey Allen, BCS superintendent. “Her background in the classroom as a teacher will give her a perspective on IC use that is unique in her new role. Christina’s passion for technology integration will allow her to acquire knowledge quickly, and guide the district with the same high expectations as her predecessors.”
Stoner resides in LaCenter, with her beloved cat, Tobi, and is a member and worship leader at Grace Church of LaCenter.
