Information for volunteers

Here are the requirements to be a volunteer at Ballard County Schools (this includes ALL unpaid assistance - like event chaperones or helpers, room parents, concession stand workers, assistant coaches, etc.):

  1. Complete a Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) check.
  2. Complete BCS volunteer background check form.
  3. Complete BCS Confidentiality statement.

 

To complete the CAN check, please follow the directions on the attached PDF.

Once complete, our human resources coordinator, Carolyn Stowell, will receive an email confirmation from CAN.

She will email you a Google form to complete your background check.

When Ms. Stowell receives a returned clear CAN and background check, she will email approval to you.

Volunteers must renew their status every two years.
